Connectors call Stripe, YouTube, Gmail and the rest directly, using your own API keys and OAuth apps. That means no middleman ever sees your tokens or your numbers. Setup is guided step-by-step in the app.

Why do I create my own API keys?
Because that is what keeps your data yours. When the keys belong to you, AtlasAI never has to route your revenue or your inbox through anyone's server, and no third party can be subpoenaed, breached or acquired into seeing your numbers. The app guides you through each platform step-by-step. Plan around 15 minutes for the full setup.
Does it work on Mac, Windows and Linux?
AtlasAI runs anywhere Node 22+ runs. Windows and macOS are verified. Linux is best-effort: it generally works, but it is not part of the release checklist yet.
What happens if I stop paying?
New syncs pause, and that is all. Everything AtlasAI already collected stays on your disk, fully readable, forever. No bricking, no lockout, no data hostage. Renew any time and syncing resumes.
How do updates work?
Releases ship on npm: run npx atlasai@latest and you have the newest version. Your data survives every update (automatic backup before each migration). The app never phones home to check; there is a manual check button in Settings.
Can my AI assistant set it up for me?
Yes. Every connector has a 'Set up with your AI' button that copies a complete prompt for Claude Code or any assistant on your machine: the steps, the known provider-console traps, and the local API to submit credentials to. You only click the final OAuth consent yourself.
Where is my data?
In ~/.atlas on your own disk: a local SQLite database plus an AES-256-GCM encrypted credential vault. Back it up, move it, delete it. It is a folder, and it is yours.
Is there a cloud version?
No, and that is deliberate. Local-first is the point: your financials, inbox and calendar never sit on someone else's server. If you want it on two machines, you run it on two machines.
